Writs of Attachment
Senate Bill 291 (85th Legislature) established a reporting requirement for writs of attachment related to criminal cases. Amended by House Bill 4504 (88th Legislature), effective January 1, 2025, Article 2A.212 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure requires district court, statutory county court, or county court clerks to report writs of attachment to the Office of Court Administration (OCA) no later than the 30th day after the writ of attachment is issued.
