Lauren Woolridge is a QA Compliance Technical Specialist III at NMS Labs, where she supports initiatives to design and optimize quality systems, ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance, develop and review laboratory policies and procedures, provide staff training, and support external audits.

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas, and began her forensic science career in 2007 as a Forensic Chemist. Lauren later joined the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Sciences (SWIFS) in Dallas, where she held multiple analytical and leadership roles within the Drug Chemistry section before being appointed Quality Manager in 2019. In that role, she oversaw quality compliance across diverse forensic disciplines including toxicology, seized drugs, forensic biology, trace evidence, and firearms/toolmarks while managing validations, internal audits, proficiency testing, and accreditation activities.

Lauren also serves as a Forensic Technical Assessor for the ANSI National Accreditation Board (ANAB) and is an active member of the Texas Association of Forensic Quality Assurance Managers (TAFQAM) and the Texas Association of Crime Laboratory Directors (TACLD).
