Ashleigh Berg began her forensic law enforcement career in 2010 and currently serves as Senior Forensic Investigator for the Denton County Sheriff’s Office, where she has worked since 2013. She holds a Master Peace Officer License and is a certified TCOLE Instructor.
Ashleigh earned a Master’s degree in Forensic Psychology from Argosy University and a Bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Forensic Science and Criminal Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is credentialed by the International Association for Identification as a Certified Latent Print Examiner, Certified Bloodstain Pattern Analyst, and Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst. Ashleigh has been qualified as an expert in crime scene investigation, latent print identification, bloodstain pattern analysis, shooting incident reconstruction, and crime scene reconstruction in multiple Texas district and federal courts. She also consults on major cases across jurisdictions and provides training to law enforcement and forensic professionals nationwide and internationally.
Since 2017, Ashleigh has served as an adjunct instructor and course-content developer for the Texas A&M Engineering Extension Service (TEEX) Texas Forensic Science Academy. She previously served on the Board of Directors for the Association for Crime Scene Reconstruction (ACSR) and currently holds an officer position with the Texas Division of the International Association for Identification (TDIAI). She is also an active member of the International Association of Bloodstain Pattern Analysts (IABPA) and the International Association for Identification (IAI).
