Scientific Program Coordinator

Jarrah Kennedy joined the FSC as Scientific Program Coordinator on October 1, 2025, after over 20 years as a forensic biology casework practitioner, with her final two years serving as an assistant DNA supervisor at the Kansas City Police Crime Laboratory.  

Ms. Kennedy advises the Commission on laboratory accreditation, forensic licensing, investigative activities, and training initiatives. She is currently Chair of the Human Forensic Biology subcommittee of Organization of Scientific Area Committees for Forensic Science (OSAC). Ms. Kennedy is a fellow of the American Academy of Forensic Sciences and a member of the International Society for Forensic Genetics. She has served on the Human Factors in Forensic Practice Sourcebook working group, OSAC-SWGDAM DNA Process Map working group, and the Expert Working Group on Human Factors in Forensic DNA Interpretation.

Ms. Kennedy graduated from the University of Notre Dame Magna Cum Laude in 2002 and obtained her Master of Science in Forensic Science from the University of New Haven in 2005.
