Judge Kevin Patrick Yeary was elected to the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals in 2014. He previously served as law clerk to the late Honorable Judge Bill White at the Texas Court of Criminal Appeals, during the Court's 1991-1992 term. After his clerkship, he worked as a defense attorney in private practice and then, later, as an Assistant District Attorney for Dallas, and then Harris, and then Bexar Counties, in their appellate divisions. He regularly lectures and teaches on matters related to criminal and appellate practice. He also serves as the Court's liaison to the State Bar of Texas Criminal Pattern Jury Charge Committee, and he serves on the board of the Texas State Law Library. He is a graduate of the St. Mary's University School of Law.
