Lawrence v. State, No. 02-23-00238-CR (July 3, 2024) (Walker, J., joined by Sudderth, C.J., and Womack, JJ.).

Held:  The evidence was legally sufficient to support the jury’s verdict that Appellant was guilty of trafficking a child with sexual assault under Texas Penal Code Section 20A.02(a)(7)(C).  Appellant’s driving the child from one location to another where he had sex with her was sufficient to find that he had engaged in trafficking under the plain meaning of the statute.
