In re J.P.-L., No. 02-19-00255-CV (Dec. 19, 2019) (Sudderth, C.J., joined by Birdwell and Bassel, JJ.).
Held: Any alleged ineffectiveness of Appellant-mother’s counsel in not filing a written motion for continuance and in not seeking a guardianship for her in the probate court did not prejudice her when the record reflects that, under the statutory scheme applicable to termination-of-parental-rights cases and the case law that has developed thereunder, the trial was fair and its outcome reliable.
