Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock to deliver 2025 State of the Judiciary Address
AUSTIN – Chief Justice Jimmy Blacklock will deliver his inaugural State of the Judiciary Address at 11:30 a.m. on February 26, 2025, in the House of Representatives’ Chamber of the Texas Capitol Building, 1100 Congress Ave., Austin.
For those who are unable to attend in person, the address will be broadcast live at house.texas.gov/videos and carried on the Court’s YouTube channel @SupremeCourtofTexas.
Governor Greg Abbott appointed Chief Justice Blacklock to serve as the 28th Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Texas on January 6, 2025. Chief Justice Blacklock has served on the Court since 2018 and won re-election to his seat twice.
