Funding a Specialty Court
Specialty Courts in Texas are funded in a variety of ways. While some are funded predominantly with state and federal grants, others operate with assistance from non-profit agencies, county government, CSCDs (probation departments), and private foundations. The list below contains the most common funding sources for Specialty Courts in Texas:
- Office of the Governor - Criminal Justice Division (CJD)
- US Department of Justice Office of Justice Programs (DOJ-OJP)
- Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA)
- Texas Veterans Commission (TVC)
