About the Texas Business Court 

The Texas Business Court is a statewide, specialized trial court created to resolve certain complex business disputes. The Court is composed of eleven geographical divisions consistent with the existing Administrative Judicial Regions. Five of those divisions will be operational on September 1, 2024. These divisions are the First Business Court Division, located in Dallas; the Third Business Court Division, located in Austin; the Fourth Business Court Division, located in San Antonio; the Eighth Business Court Division, located in Fort Worth; and the Eleventh Business Court Division, located in Houston. The Texas Business Court, inclusive of all eleven divisions, is served by one Clerk of Court, located in Austin, Texas.

Electronic Filing

The Business Court will accept filings in eFileTexas beginning at 12:00 a.m. on September 1, 2024. Filings submitted over the Labor Day holiday weekend will be processed on Tuesday, September 3, 2024.
